NOTE:  I use MS Office 2010.  If you can't open any of these files when they down load,
E-mail me [click on contact me on my home page] and I will send you a match for whatever
version of Excel/Word you are using.

NOTE 2: You will notice a distinct lack of E-mail addresses for your Town Meeting
Representatives (TMRs).  Once you decide that you need to communicate with them to
emphasize an issue [or not], you will be forced to decide to use snail mail and
pay postage or
not send anything at all because of the town's failure to provide official E-mail capabilities to
TMRs.  If you find this upsetting,
PLEASE, call the Town Manager, Town Moderator and
E-mail each of the Selectmen to voice your disapproval and reclaim ownership of the town.
The more citizens that call and E-mail, the greater the chance is that they will take your
potential loss of vote seriously.  Quite frankly, at this moment, their attitudes speaks volumes
about how little they care about your opinions and your vision for a better Billerica.

For a sample merge letter to match the databases,

All you need to do now is put your header information in [Name, Address, Zip, E-Mail/Phone
Number], your own words into the body of the letter, type in your full name in the signature
section, and add the date.

Next, find the merge section in your word processor and link the letter to the corresponding
database you downloaded.  When you get to that section, you should find the means to select
to whom you wish to correspond.  Check those names and leave the others unchecked.

To avoid wasting paper, click on preview or edit before sending.  You will see all of the
addressees that you checked to whom you are sending the letter appear one after the other
or two side by side stacked, depending on how you have your view setting in Word, etc.  Look
them over for errors picked up by the processor, decide if they are errors or not and once
satisfied, click print...get your letters, go to envelopes, choose the same recipients (they
should not have changed), load your envelopes as your printer requires and hit print...presto!
Your envelopes will all print one after the other.  Simply match the envelope to the right letter
and you are all set to stamp and send - or hand deliver a batch for distribution by the town
clerk, or whomever you choose...remind them that they are
YOUR public servant if you
receive any hassle.
